The warming room is one of the oldest parts of Robins Hollow. It’s the original front entranceway from 1827. 

The Daytons, the original owners, and their visitors would enter the house into this room and literally warm themselves by the fire.

Progress on the basement door continues! Sean’s got the entire door assembled with the exception of the window. It’s on my to do list to sand and repair the window, replace the glass and paint. I’ll be using all the lessons I&rsqu
Construction of the basement door continues! Sean sandwiched together the tongue and groove mahogany, rigid insulation, plywood and bead board with construction adhesive and stainless steel screws. In his words, he ‘glued and screwed’
